Two simple ways to create cards for your strategy work
You can create cards in two ways depending on whether you want to start from a template or a Spark:
Create a card from a template
Use this option if you’d like to start with an existing framework (for example, SWOT, Objective, or KPI).
Where to do it:
-
From the Cards tab
-
Inside a Card Set
-
Inside a Workbook
Steps:
-
Click the + icon in the top right area.
-
The Create card window will open.
-
On the left, pick a Card category (like SWOT, Strategy, Objective).
-
In the middle column, choose a Card type (for example, Opportunity, Risk, Mission).
-
On the right, fill in the Card details:
-
Name (required)
-
Description
-
Additional details depending on the Card you choose
-
-
Click Create card to save.
Tip:
You can also click Save and create another if you want to add more cards quickly.
Create a Spark card
Use this option if you want to capture an idea quickly without choosing a template yet. You can convert a Spark into any card type later.
Where to do it:
-
From the top bar in any Cards view
Steps:
-
Click the lightning bolt icon ⚡ in the top right corner.
-
The Create a Spark card window will appear.
-
Enter a Name (required) and an optional Description.
-
Click Create Spark card.
Your Spark card will now appear in your list, ready to be converted to a structured card type whenever you’re ready.
Tip:
Spark cards are ideal for brainstorming sessions or capturing thoughts before you decide how to categorize them.
